Well I think I've got it all wrong again. It took me forever to get to grips with the internet, longer to sign myself up to a forum; even longer to actualy post something. And then I read that I should have introduced myself!

SORRY!

Well I'm the proud owner of a Defender 300tdi, the first in my hands. It has been purchased to tow firewood out of the forest we live in and to get my wife to work in the snow, we seem to get plenty of the white stuff since our move to the north.

I spent my child-hood leaning over the wing of S1 and S2 models, stood on the front wheel and clinging on. Pestering the life out of my father to let me 'help'. Our son, who is three, has been dong the very same so brings back fond memories. I learnt to drive in the series 2 so maybe our little fella will be doing the same in the 90.

I spent three years as an apprentice mechanic when I left school, so not in the dark with all things under the body work. But I am a novice with Landrovers so you may well be spending a lot of time reading my posts; I shall try and 'search' option first!

So, sorry again for not doing the introduction before now, and thanks for taking the time to read this.

Kind regards to you all,

Andrew

You could have just said, "I'm old".
Well don't worry - you're definitely not the only one on here. Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome.

I am feeling old after jumping on the push bike and doing over 10 miles to pick up the landy form the local garage today (MOT). It has got to have been 6+ years since the 'treder' was in action. I can't belive that that the rubber stuff pumped up!

I was expecting someone to report me for not having a bash hat on! H&S can go whistle on that one.
