Hi, I found this site looking for off road routes, looks like it could be useful..

I have a hybrid sort of landy, it has a 2.8 diesel engine in it, but its an old 110 and seems to go ok, but I could use some advice etc now and then..

Current beefs are that the vehicle has a leaky fuel tank at half full and the heating seems to not work!!

Nor does the drivers door lock..

And my workshop is a bit drafty, what with it being my back yard, under the sky, and the winter not be my favourite time to do maintenance!!

Hi, found this forum again, 2 years on, still have the same reliable landy that has served me well with surprisingly little need for maintenance.. Usually used for transporting wood for my fire, but I am wanting to get it sorted out for family trips, (dont really want to spend money on a newer vehicle when this one seems reliable).

One thing Id really like to do is sort the gearing out, it has a pretty powerful 2.8 turbo engine in it, and it seems a shame that the 4 speed gearbox doesnt let it get up to a decent top speed, and it feels generally under geared for motorway use.

Id like an overdrive, if this is a good solution, where can I get one fitted?

Or would it be better to get a 5 speed box?

I dont know much about these things, any advice welcome!

Also, it seems to have no difflock, I discovered earlier this year when looking for it in the snow..

One more thing, heating.. Where can I get something that warms the inside properly?
