Hi fella Landy fans. Possibly not the right place, but I have recently bought a 96 defender which was fitted with the 2.8 Really sweet diahatsu 2.8n/a Diesel engine. I've put the original landy engine back in, so now have for sale the Diahatsu engine complete with Milner convertion plate, manifold, starter,alternator the full monty.
The kit comprises
Milner gearbox adapter plate.
Really sweet diahatsu 2.8n/a Diesel engine (the version with timing gears not a cam belt which is much more reliable and sort after)
Correct Landrover flywheel (recent clutch for a series still in place with about 1000 miles on it)
Starter motor
Alternator
Engine mounts
All pipe work
The correct power steering pump (if you decide to have power steering!)
Extended engine breather,
Vacuum pump for brake servo.
And anything else needed to make it an easy fit that I've forgotten to list.
Your advice on its value and how I should go about selling it appreciated
