Hello again everyone

On my way home tonight all my dash lights, (except oil engine power) I pugged it into hawkeye and error code 4022 - referance earth not conected to earth- I've searched the web for the code as well as on here, and other site but can not find the code, or the referance earth thing:confused: as anyone got any ideas what it is, I have already checked the earths and their ok, if you turn the engine off and on again it goes off for a bit but the lights came back on again, my disco still runs fine even thought the lights are on:confused: and I have also checked the wheels just in case they were lose, but they wasn't......

Also while I was checking it I heard the sls relay energising even thought the key isn't in it, but that's been doing that For a while to be honest

Any help, as always would be greatly appreciated:)

There is an earth header beneath the footwell on RH side, under the pedals which has connection with diagnostic socket too, this used to make tricks...check this header / give it a contact spray or something(C0551)... albeit i have no idea what that fault code means:eek:

U found C0017 well cos this one is also connected to the diagnostic socket.... but it could be any earth point in the front of the car.

Check c0551 today, also for good measure I clean the plugs on the abs pump, cleared the fault and so far it's not come back, so looks like it may have been the earth plug, not done many miles yet so will know more next week if it comes back on, but so far so good:D

Thanks again all:rolleyes:

Solly great news! I didnt check the earth point under the brake pedal but I unpluged and checked the ohms on both front sensors which were fine so I pluged them back in then when I checked the abs block the round plug with the single wire was loose so a quick push and a click and I thought I'd try my luck. Switched on with no lights :) selected reverse and as soon as I touched the accelerator the abs unit did its pulsing as if the abs was activated under heavy braking and all lights came back on :( Switched to live data and both rear sensors read 2.23v and 0Kph front right 2.23v and 0Kph front left reads 0.00v no now its 0.57v hang on now its 0.8v and then 0.00v again... Ah harrr we have a culprit especialy as hawkeye reports the front left wheel is doing 5Kph when stationary  Im just wondering if I should do just the sensor £46.20 with vat or chuck a new hub on £198 with vat both are Wabaco parts at that price. Just changing the sensor aint suposed to last that long and that would be a waste of £46... Hmmmmmm decisions decisions.

Bugger, didn't check that:( I've already had 2 hubs done, hopefully mines ok, but ill check my out tomorrow, bummer about yours though, I would probably take a chance and go down the cheaper option, as it cost me over £300 to have one done, but at least you know it will be ok if you have the hub done. You have to let me know what you decide:rolleyes:
