Think a new category for mods may be an idea - easier ways to do jobs, effective upgrades, lateral thinking and cheap ideas that work for "making the LandRover Experience a joy" (how's that for a www.landyzone.co.uk slogan??)
Haven't ever seen anyone suggest this before but I've done it so I know it's effective and works.
Instead of using Series (6-piece?) door seals when rebuilding or replacing doortops or if you just don't want that draught in your offsidde ear try this fix:
Grind off the small lip (after removing the old seals) and fit one-piece 90/110 door seals (push-fit). That's it.Some door adjustment may be required but the benefits far outweigh the loss of originality. You don't even need to hire/buy a riveter so you save money here too!
If anyone else has done this mod can you let me know (here or by pm) as I've never seen it anywhere and my paranoia...... More mods in new posts (hopefully not just by me)...
