Do you get discount on all products in Halfords with a Trade card?
In a sense yes, but evey discount is different, and a lot of things have no discount at all. Its mainly trade related stuff like tools, bulbs wipers service stuff oils etc. Like youre not gonna get trade discount on that subwoofer or the leopard skin steering wheel cover that all us landy owners want ;) Every discount is different and things like bulbs and wipers have the heftiest discount IIRC, you dont know how much till you get to the till, there was a thread on a different forum where they listed all the discounts theyd got for as many things as they buy so that people could get a rough idea of how much different things would be discounted, i'll try find a link!

Hi Ryan,

Can you apply the trade discount online? then you can see it before you go there. I thought I read that you could on the halfords website somewhere.

Cheers

I have one of the above sets which I have had for about 16 years. I have absolutely no regrets at all. If for some reason I was to loose them, I would go straight out and buy another set. My brother in-laws son has borrowed them on a couple of occasions as he has a BMW and needs some of the special sockets etc in the kit. He changed a clutch which he said he could not have done without the this tool kit..

It is a good set, could be bought for £99 last week, :D

Evening all, after spending too much time today searching my garage and home for various spanners and sockets, I have decided my bits and pieces aren't worth a crap.

Having searched the forum and seeing posts from quite recently stating that the various socket and spanner sets Halfords sell (the advanced pro sets ) are quite reasonably thought of.

I was wondering if this was still the case and would I really go wrong with one from there ( I'm looking at either the 150 or the 170 piece kits ).

Should I be looking anywhere else for similar kits at similar prices.

Dave
The Halfords advanced / professional is all I own. Between me and my brothers we own Halfords advanced / bluepoint / snap on.

All looks the same and feels the same, just the halfrauds stuff is cheaper. Worth every penny, plus i have only ever had to return 1 ratchet (was using it as a hammer), and walked out the store seconds later with my brand new one
