Hello to you all, I'm a noob here based in Crawley West Sussex so not too far from you boys and girls. I have zero experience at green laning but would love to give it a go. I work shifts so might not always be able to fit in with any planned adventures but will keep my eye on this thread in hope that I may be able to tag along should any of you want to venture out.

I'll be watching this thread too as a noob both to land rovers and green laning. Really want to try some easy green laning with someone who knows what their doing.

Hi all i know some great beginners lanes over near leatherhead (bookham) going over ranmoor common and on to lieth hill its a good couple of hours run so when your all free we can get together and drive them, You dont need any specialst kit so nice and easy so let me know ok, Steve

That sounds great, my only concern is that I am still on the Grabber 235/85/16tyres that it was wearing when it came off the production line. Should I wait until I can buy something a little more mud orientated?

Tbh I've done a lot of laning on my own (yes I know lol) around Surrey, never got remotely stuck, not even a wheel spin, on standard tyres, with no other mods. We're driving land rovers, this is what they're for, regardless of tyre
I'll have 2 Insa Dakar or similar on by then though Another pair next payday, haha. It's only cos I need a new tyre and they're cheap and beefy looking though.

Yes sunday the 2nd is good for me also, the more the merrier, where are we going to meet and what time, Rykas burger place at the bottom of box hill car park is a good place to meet if that suits everyone, maybe 10am?
