Gearstick has lost its return

Hi Folks,
Relativly new to this so if this has been up before my sincerest. I have just got a TD4 for the mrs a 2001 01 plate. The gearstick seems to have lost its spring return. Does anyone have a fix? If so please can I have details. Many mnay thanks in advance.

If its a manual it will simply be just that the return spring has broken.

Remove the gaiter around the stick and have a look.

Cheers for the advice. Can this be purchased as a part? like the defender disco or is it simply just a spring? Once again many thanks.

Can't find one listed, it's just a spring though.

Take it out and try to find a similar one.
