gear knob

hi lads,sorry for being so stupid but how do i get my gear knob off,its a manual,ive looked on rave and it only mentions the auto,its developed a very annoying rattle and i have to do something about it,as always any help will be most welcome

Had the same problem. cable tie the collar directly under the knob pinching it tight.
