Hi Guys

Had a dodgy incident on the way back from London to Cork last night.
The fuel lines that are on top of the injectors (almost connecting them)
split and I sprayed diesel every where.
On the plus side it is now unlike anywhere in my engine will rust in a hurry
but what are the lines called and are they fairly universal?
I had to get the AA out and bodged a cut and refit. Any one know if this is a generic piece of pipe?
Need to replace the others as a matter preventative maintenance.

Cheers

C

PS what functional value does the silly black thingy on top of the rocker add?

The braid covered lines transfer excess diesel away from the injectors, universal part but a LR specialist should be able to sort you out in an instant.

The rubber cover is designed to reduce noise.

it is spill pipe on diesel- local motor factors and they will normally sell the blanks if yours is rubber as they split as well
