Frustrated

Freelander TD4. Have been having starting difficulty when hot. Tries to fire but does not run. Changed the fuel pressure sensor (£100) but still has the problem. Where should I look next?
ANY IDEAS PLEASE.

Cam sensor?

I believe if you take it off and freeze it and the car then starts then it could be the cam sensor.

If it's not that do a leak back test to diagnose which injector/s have failed.

Is this a sudden onset problem or has it been getting worse over time until this point?
Fuel pressure prob? Pumps / filter/s in good order.

if you buy one of those freezer sprays that will freeze a pipe and spray the cam shaft censor with it when the engine is hot then you should find out . many years ago I had a cam shaft censor go on my only I was on a beach in southern Ireland and the sea was coming in my friend was on his way back home when he stopped to see where I was and came back thank god and at least dragged me off the beach with his defender , now I carry a spare censor with me especially in southern Ireland (and the tool to do it with)
