My front vents are leaking ! Which are some good ones to replace the ones that leak . Need to fix this as my bulkhead is fairly new and i would like to keep it that way . I have so far only found the foam type which don't look to good as they can hold water . Are there other types out there ? Thanks :)

Rubber ones do exist but only seem to be for up to '92 after that they seem to be the foam ones, no idea if the 2 are interchangable.

Off the top of my head, the older ones fit to the bulkhead the new ones stuck to the vent flap not sure if the older rubber is any better, holding water underneath it.

Try just cleaning the mating surfaces, especially along the top edge, quite possible its just muck n stuff stopping it sealing properly.

I have found the foam-rubber ones are the best.
I had used the older style rubber ones on a couple of vehicles over the years but never found they sat very well until the flaps had moulded themselves into the rubber. When I fitted a new bulkhead 12-years ago I replaced them with the foam-rubber type and leaks & draughts were completely eliminated. Only now are they begining to lift off in places so I will be replacing them with identical items.

I replaced my perished foam for new foam. Take off the vents and properly clean down. You may require sticky stuff remover, then stick down the new foam.

Once you get the vents back on, have someone press the vents in and clip tight from inside the cab to ensure a tight seal. This should mould them nicely and make a good seal going forward. It pays to do properly...

Replaced the rubber ones last year with sh*tpart ones. They didn't fit very nicely and leaked a lot. My parts supplier suggested rubber seals from Allmakes. I replaced the bp ones with the Allmakes seals and they fit perfect and do not leak.

Be sure to remove any adhesive residue from the bulkhead and fit the seals with a PU kit. Close the vents and apply some pressure with a piece of wood clamped to the bulkhead for 24 hours.
