No contest then, as I have found out no matter how much cash you throw into the axles you can still snap OEM swivel balls off :(

I wonder if Force9 axles use a different swivel ball?

Force 9's are based on TD5 axles I think but the swivel assembly I'd new

Toyota axles are as strong as Ashcroft upgraded items for a fraction of the cost just not a bolt on process

Toyota 80 series ;)

As strong as Ashcroft upgraded rover axles, come with front and rear lockers, you can pick up a pair for £600 compared to the equivalent upgraded axles which would be £6000

Force 9s are nearer 9k aren't they?

Stupid price IMO!

I need someone to make me a TD5 axle casing that will bolt to D1 and I need them to do it for cheap price :D

Not sure if I could handle the sums on all the conversion bracketry.

Then I'd be sorted and not have to worry about jumping over things!

£7300 each !!

You could take the Braketry off of the old axles and swap it over or make new ones it can't be too hard, I did some measurements a while ago to do it ill have to work through it again

I imagine youd simply grind the new axle smooth, get new brackets from YRM, start with the kingpin angle and then weld the radius arm brackets are the correct angle and in the middle.

Then weld the spring mounts etc, using reference from a D1 casing.

Guess if you took your time there's no reason why not :)
