Hi All

So I have a little vibration I am trying to cure. Ordered the heavy duty UJ replacement kit. Took off the front prop and after plenty of fiddling and hammering I have all the old UJ's off.

My problem lies with the bearing part of the Cardon joint. A replacement came with the kit but I can't get the old one out. I am past the point of no return as I have already had needles come out of it so it absolutely has to come out of the cup and the new one placed in.

I don't have access to any pullers small enough to extract it so is it just a case of destroying the old one in the cup and picking out the pieces ?

Any suggestions ?

How much of it is left in? On mine, the centre part fell out and I used a small chisel to break the outer part of the bearing inwards.

If it's intact, you shouldn't need much force to get it out once the seal has been removed. Maybe try getting creative with a wire coat hangar to use as a puller.

I've just done mine today had to cut it out with a dremel mini grinder. What a fiddly **** of a job putting it back together. Just take your time and when you get ****ed off stop have a smoke and a cuppa and try again.good luck.

Dremel sorted the job. took a little while but got there in the end. Many thanks for the tips and help.
