TVM, useful. I have known what the figures mean for a long time, but I'm not involved with tyres on a daily basis, and I just have difficulty in making an accurate mental picture. It seems that I can get BFG MTs in 245/75/R16, which I think are what I had on the old D1, although I won't get to check until monday. That D1 had a 2 lift with cranked arms and a double cardan prop, which the Panel here advised was not strictly necessary.

My question is now whether fitting 245/75/R16s on a D2 with a 2" lift but without cranked arms will be feasible without touching the bodywork. Does anyone herein run such a setup, please, and if so, do the 8" rims need a particular offset?
