Freelander vibration under load

Hi all

HELP!!!!

My freelander TD4 HSE Auto suffers from a vibration at about 60-70 mph when accelerating this disappears when I lift off the throttle.

Tyres are Michelin Synchrone front and rear. Rear have 6 mm even wear front about 4 mm and tyre pressures are correct.

Wheels have been balanced and aligned.

Is the probable cause the front inner drive shaft joint? Web search seems to indicate OSF inner joint is a problem is this fact or fiction?

I had exactly the same problem and it ended up being my front tyres. They were stepping on the outside and when i got to about 65mph it caused a vibration.

I had this problem too with Michelin Synchrones a while back when they were approx half worn.

Cured by swapping them side to side and re-balancing.
