I have a 99 freelander 2.0 td and the heaters are crap. I can do a 20 mile trip and its still cold. They do blow hot air but its not enough to warm the inside. Is there any tricks to sort this out. I'm sure there is info on this but I'm on iPhone and search doesn't work

Cheers I had a read. It says that it's a 1.8 petrol. Not sure if the diesel model is the same

i think the pipe work from the egr to the matrix will be the same that looks like all that's needed, going to have a look at the weekend

try flushing the system never know might be clogged up, had the ssame prob on my old spitfire luckly the matrix on that was a perfect fit for a hose pipe in and out just hooked it up and let it blast the system - would have done a propper flush but the rad was crap worked tho-

also bleed the system - might be an airlock, check the head etc oil filler cap the usuals

The connector behind the centre console on mine doesn't feel right . Its very loose and a very short joint . I will someday have a proper go at it and see whats wrong or bung something in the gap and wrap in duct tape . I think that might solve the window heater lack of blow .

At the moment I just open the windows a bit or have the tailgate open , unless its raining .

Last year ,or two years ago, it did get a bit hairy when I drove through freezing fog and I couldn't get the heater dial to heat the windscreen . That's sorted now .
