Thanks for that st-george, you are a gent, at least I can go with this information next week, it will save me money and the auto electrician a lot of time. I’ll let you know how I get on, it’s probably good to share on here in case anyone else has the same problem.SORTED - the auto electrician found the break - said the wiring loom was a bit tight in that area and had caused the break. He told me it was a bit fiddly to get to (but not a dash out job !!).
He said it was on the passenger side (under the dash obviously) - near to some sort of junction box but was speaking electrical terms which mean nothing to me.
Anyway, everythings back to normal including the cruise control - total cost was £200+vat - still a bit expensive just for a wire break but cheaper than Land Rover wanted !!!
