Freelander (1998) Engine trouble

Did anyone have trouble with engine revving above normal when pressing the brakes? I got a mechanic to connect to the ECU and the computer told him 'Start-of-injection control faulty' but the description isnt specific enough to confirm whether it is the fuel pump, gas pedal or one of the solenoids controlling injection. Would anyone know if I can find a detailed description of errors reported by the ECU?

have you checked the vacuum pipes to engine and brake servo sounds like a vacuum problem due to only happening when brakes applied i would check that out first before you worry about the ecm,tiga.
