Been away for a few days recently and Finally drove my (nearly) finished S3 for the first time....

Thread was a quick thanks to all those who have helped, encouraged me over last few months!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well as a experiance to drive - it was really scary - as every thing apart from the chassis has been changed and uprated. That niggling feeling of "was that tightened" will go away I'm sure... At some point....

Oh and it sounds amazing, and feels properly, properly fast.......

I will be in a similar situation soon with my restoration, going to brave it on the road for its MOT.
Also, I have never driven a land rover before because I spent the last 12 months restoring it, instead of driving it.
So I guess I will be wondering too if all nuts and bolts are tight..

Happy Days!!!!

In a similar situation myself - full chassis up rebuild almost complete... just a few little bits and pieces left to do but passed MOT and on the road!

I have now covered the monumental sum of 70 miles since I bought her over a year ago and loving it - Brakes are a bit spongy, and lots of bumps rattles and stuff (I know what you mean about "Have I tightened that bit" - especially as never done anything mechanical before in my life), but now being a full on the road member of landy driving community is a bit like a coming of age

Happy Days ahead!!!
