I am 17 and my insurance before i had past was what you say it is. But now i have passed it is a hell of a lot more! And when i get a quote from Aviva its not cheap. I spent a long time searching for insurance and didn't find anything as cheap as you say.

Thats because it was provisional insurance and you have to have someone who has been passed for more than 3 years in the car i think.

Try ringing aviva, don't just settle for what the website says, that's what i did, make sure you have a lot of time though, because the amount of times they said "I'll get back to you" was unreal.

Anyway here's my landy which i got insured for £900 in my first year.

Shall give them a ring. But i am tied into a contract until next Dec with Flux direct. Nice Landy by the way !

2K for my 1990 90 is what mine is. That is fully comp, but to be fair have a few extras like great breakdown and extra little things like that. Fairly knocks the price up.
Sadly any young persons insurance is expensive no matter what these days.

jeez i am glad i am old lol, £168 fully comp for my 90 lol :D

Join the club, £199 including breakdown cover..... Get your parents as named drivers and 3 seater commercial is cheaper then a station wagon with seats in the back also don't be put off with mods, not as far as Adrian Flux is concerned anyway, you should also get a discount being a member of landyzone or GLASS

When I got my first quote at 17 from aviva last year in May it was £900 fully comp, then because I waited until June to buy that quote, the price changed to Junes premiums which were £1500. They know about the tdi transplant, bigger tyres, alloys, spotlights and my 3 points.
