Hi guys after a lengthy break i've just laid my hands on a quite tidy m reg 300 tdi i'll upload some pics soon. However tidy or not its a landy so has a few niggles. The main one being that its leaning to the right i've not had chance to measure properly but on flat level ground i can put my fist sideways on between top of wheel and arch with room to spare on the passenger side but cant get my fist in above wheels on drivers side. I have with the car a reciept for 4 coil springs fitted approx 18 months ago so wondering if its possible that springs have been fitted in wrong positions on car.
So without stripping all of them off is there any way to tell which springs go where or is there a height difference between front an rear springs when removed as i'm thinking that if front and rears are slightly different height maybe fronts are on one side and rears are on other. Any advice appreciated as i don't really want to replace 18 month old springs for something as silly as being fitted wrong

hi sean unfortunately the springs were fitted by a backstreet garage and reciept dosn't state make it just says supply and fit 4 new road springs

Make sure the Anti-Roll-Bar hangers aren't swapped on one side ...both should point up from the ends of the ARB .. sometimes one can flip over ... ;)

Sorted!! It turned out to be the anti roll bar mounting on the front offside chassis. looks like someone had used it as a jacking point and had completely squashed it flat, Heated it up and levered, tapped and persuaded it back into shape and all is well. cheers guys
