Ere S#L#U#T#S, have you driving this one??

Went out pikeying at the weekend. The campsite was at Orcheston, just by Shrewton at the south of the plain. When we rolled in through the gate we noticed that there was a byway sign pointing into the gateway. A bit later I did an explore to find out where it went. Assuming it was right through the campsite I was at a loss as to where it went. But then I spotted a gap in the hedge by the gateway. At first look it was a drainage ditch, which I think is one of its purposes. But I then realised it was the entrance to the byway. What was interesting was how to get in or out. It was about a three foot drop, over a curve then on to a soil bank, but it was 90 degrees to the track so you would have to enter at about 45 degrees to get round. Sounds like a good opportunity to roll.

I know my Hippo couldn't manage that. Whats your thoughts? And, have you actually driven this one?

Well I haven't seen or tried it, but always willing to av a go. Maybe Pikey should go furst, speshially if theres rollin over to be done

My navigater and I stay at that camp site when we do the SCOR Randonnee; coming up mid-September. I'll have to take a look when I'm there.

I'm game :doh: and the falls on the right side as well. I need to straighten the sides up. It's leaning to the right slightly.

Just had a look and it's only a short one. Entry would be better where it reaches the road just below the caravan site.

To the right is where the byway goes under the road. You see the problem!!

Might have to let some air out the tyres anaw.

lol i been to that site too!! saw the byway and walked it but it's really short and don't exactly go anywhere as far as i can remember

Just had a look at the OS map on-line. Its not a long track but I spose it could be linked to the other byway heading north.

I was just fasinated by the angle of the entrance and wondered what people thought about it.
