Hi,

My battery went dead in the P38 while i was away in Morocco, now im trying to jump it and its emibalised the engine, says "Press Remote or enter key code", pressing the remoted does nothing and i dont have the key code. Tryed syncing the fob with the key but its not doing anything there eather. Whats the best way to go about this, can i get the key code from Land Rover?

Cheers, Rich.

you can get the eka from a dealer but you got to prove who you are and that you own the vehicle and you might find the car needs a re-learn where the key has gone out of sync with the becm, i had it done to me and the re-learn was 40 quid so not to bad or there is fault mates on ebay for it as well

what year is it? and is it petorl..

Sounds like a visit to local stealer, armed with reg docs, and proof of i.d. ? Hopefully you got one near? Prepare your lock with a dose of WD40 now. Procedure in owners book, RAVE, and on this site. Anyone know of a short-cut? Doubtful short of BECM unlock?

Your ONLY way out of this is an LR dealership I'm Afraid .... I got my code by Blaggin it saying the Mrs had lost it & he gave it me over the phone...

Someone else on here did the same, his "Local" dealership refused to issue the code over the phone so he rang 3 or 4 more dealerships until he got one that would tell him what it was.

TBH its all down to who answers the phone .. if hes an ARSE yer wastin yer time but
if you get one that "Sounds like he lives in the real world" .. then just start with " Hi mate, listen I'm totally bolloxed here & the Mrs is on me case... me soddin battery went flat & I've lost me EKA. if I buy you a shovel can you dig me outta this crap??"

In other words a "jokey" approach USUALLY works & Blaming the loss of yer EKA code on the Mrs (Or a Woman) ...ALWAYS WORKS......

But Don't give up with just 1 dealership .... Try as many as you have to until you get one that "Responds" to yer Plight!!!!

Hi to all
I have a second hand P38 2002 US version. Do I need that code too? The previous owner did not have them and also gave me just one key and the label is wear off so I can't see wish one is it.

if it was done for export your code should be 1515, but you should go to a dealer with your log book and see, just to be sure..
