Thx.

It’s a 90/110 V8 Detoxed 15Gxxxxx

Is there a parts list pdf and any rebuild manuals on interweb?

Well that’s a bit nicer being a 90/110 engine:).

Loads of free online manuals available, just takes a bit of searching.
Proper paper 1s are still available will also show up with a search.

Low comp 3.5 90-115hp judging by the condition of the outside and the fact it looks to have been dropped off an engine hoist from the damage sustained i'd say for £265 you got 'erm an ok'ish deal, it doesn't have any windows in the block which is nice... :)

I'd almost guarantee it'll be a deposite filled pile which will need a complete rebuild obvs

Kits are available..

Already planned to rebuild it. A little ****ed off about the timing housing. They didn’t tell me about that. Crank seems to turn fairly easily which is good and bad. Not much compression. Probably seized valves. I assume they are an interference engine?

Yes it's interference.

Just seen no spark plugs in left side so will have affected compression

Try here Lrcat
It then gives part numbers to cross ref elsewhere:).

Sadly no joy.
Are there any parts diagrams? What is this part? part of vacuum system perhaps?

It's the 'Pulsair' system.
This is as good a description as any: www.fordforums.com/threads/v8-pulsair-system.14910

Land Rover did blanking plugs to remove it. ETC6474.
Famous Four do/did a set which are just a set of grub screws. No idea as to the size, but if you remove one of your pipes you'll be able to measure thread & diameter & buy something appropriate.
www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/3-pipe-pulsair-detox-engine.318331/ Sadly the poster never updated the thread.
Thanks. They look just like brake unions so I think I just get some new ones and blank off use the pipes.

Probably get a better seal using grub screws - look better too:)
Once you've got the thread size have a look on ebay. Assuming it's nothing exotic you'll probably get the set for the price LR want for one!

Ok as I was interested for myself.
Some have said they just cut and squash the pipe, a neat bodge:rolleyes:.

These guys say they have them Range Rover V8 Petrol Pulsar Blanking Plug ETC6474 (johnrichardssurplus.co.uk)
These guys do a better looking 1 but state "not for 3 port" V8 De-Tox Blanking Plug Kit (FF006383) for 3.5 V8 Carb. Engine Land Rover Series IIA/III (famousfour.co.uk)

Whats the diff between 3 or 4? I have no idea. but maybe worth the cost of a phone call.
But looking at the first link pic, seems to have a sealing face/area.

Personally the fittings you have are the best thing you have to work with. You are not in any hurry so get 1 out and check thread size and for any sealing requirements.

As you will have the heads off (i imagine from previous posts) you have time.

See you have asked in the other fred for a size unlikely you will get a response due to its age.
So we will be relying on you:).

Good luck and looking forward to the rebuild fred:).
