New modulator installed still missing. All pipes ok.
Connected pipe from turbo outlet to acctuator, still missing. Only fault code 3014 air flow low fault.
Boost pressure still showing as dropping back to 100 for an instant then back to normal.
Is there a way of testing the map sensor and wiring?

no way to test the MAP sensor other than replaceing it with known good one or to fit a boost gauge and compare readings, is the wastegate rod moving if you kick down stationary?.... you should see some movement, i'm thinking to not be stuck closed or the wastegate valve to leak and not push it. how is the ambient pressure reading and air flow just before the MAP goes down?

Wastegate is working ok, also tested it with compressor.
MAF sensor is disconnected and wiring mod done.
Will check ambient pressure reading tonight but went for a test run last night with MAF removed (in case there was a restriction in the airbox) and still kangarooed.

just to clarify can you see the wastegate moving if you kick down the throttle stationary... it's important to see it working on boost not with compressor cos if the intercooler outlet to the modulator is clogged with gunk the wastegate will not work while driving

can't you record a fuelling inputs data log with nanocom and post it here?... or if the wastegate is moving under hard pedal replace the MAP sensor... without seing myself the live data i'm just shooting in blind here but as i understood from your first post the MAP reading is climbing to above 200 then drops to 100 which is a clear overboost symptom provided the sensor is not reading high

you said "MAF disconnected and wiring mod done"... what wiring mod?, and i ask again, what's the MAF reading at full boost?

so if that mod is done you'll have to see above 500 reading for MAF at full throttle.... anyway, dont you get any fault code logged though?

If the MAF was disconnected i.e. ECU seeing 0 air flow, would this cause overboosting/kangarooing?

you mean MAF unplugged and wiring mod disabled ?... with MAF unplugged the engine should run just fine only the consumption might be greater no kangarooing or overboost, only if the MAF reads high(above 680) and the MAP above 240 the ECU will cut fuelling

Turns out the waste gate acctuator was sticking sorted now.
Strange how you get a couple of electronic issues and you forget the problem could be mechanical.
