Electric fuel pump

I have 86 defender with a 12J N/A fitted, the current fuel pump is a STC 1190, it was fitted about a year ago, I think that it is playing up and want to replace it with an electric pump, has any one done this if so what have you used.

Does any one know what the pressure and flow rate is for STC 1190 or the old AC pump it replaced.
