egr pipe

i'd say ..
take the induction cover off first ..
i.e the plastic cover that has the intercooler and egr hoses clamped to it ..
that way .. those vacuum hose terminals be visible ..
then ease ( pry / lever ) the old hose off with a screwdriver or similar

at least with that induction assembly off .. you can see for sure what the situation is ..
( i.e. just because one vehicle has no clips .. don't mean aint something lurking down there
