my p38 had started to sink overnight and compressor running to often so traced fault to leaks on the pipework where they push in the valve block.
rebuilt valve block all is working fine and there are now no leaks BUT iam concerned that the compressor is running to often kicks in and out prob less than a minute between going on and off stays off for about the same before coming back in when i did the valve block i noticed one of the wires to the pressure switch and had been trapped at somepoint and had broken half the wires in the cable i soldered and heat shrunk the cable before refitting.
when it cycles in and the height adjusts before it exhausts and adjusts height again then compresser back in again but pretty much does it constant.
i may add bags are good and i have checked for leaks front height sensors are new valve block all new orings and no leaks, just wondering if i should may be look at replacing pressure switch?

Mine did this only noticable with bonnet open. It gives the impression opening bonnet has some interaction. Changed pressure switch and all is well. But if i were you i would stick a pressure gauge in the Violet line to the tank and see if there is indeed any pressure drop causing this. Easy for me to say as i have a gauge to hand to do that with, others may not have.

Why does the bonnet open make a difference?

Can't see how it can, but mine was only noticable with engine running and bonnet open it may well have done it with bonnet shut i just could not hear it. Me ear trumpet is not that good. :D:D All i know is new pressure switch stopped it from happening.

Wammers have you got a how to for doing that? Or is a simple RAVE fix? I may do mine.

Pressure switch is screwed into bottom of valve block, so take valve block off and replace switch. Switch comes with new pins to go into the connection block. Only thing I had trouble with is getting the old pins out - one ended up parting company with its wire, but was then easy to pull out of the connection block the other way. :) New pins go in easy...

No it's a simple job just snip wires on old unit. Unless you want to keep it. Take out sensor and screw new one in with some sealant. PTFE will do. When you come to put the wires in the socket you have to remove the inner face protector with the holes in it. You can then release the old pins with a small screwdriver holding the clip back, then slide the new ones in until they engage. Then click the plastic face shield back in the socket.
