Hopefully this is a silly question. Whilst driving up a fairly steep slippy lane. there was a sound coming from the right side of the engine bay, which sounded like the abs was kicking in. Is this normal....is it something to do with traction control?
cheers Shane.

yes ,abs works by sensing any wheel locking up and releasing pressure to brake caliper on that wheel through electrically operated valves in block ,traction control uses same system put apllies pressure to a spinning wheel to ensure drive to other wheels isnt lost as one wheel spinning can loose all drive to the rest ,to do this it needs pressure and so pump kicks in which is part of valve block but is lh side of vehicle on inner wing

Does the TC light not come on in the dash ?

if not me suspects someone has been removing LED's in the dash
