I'm getting fed up with a puddle every time it rains on my floor mats.

Other than new seals (garage said that prob wouldn't do much anyway) any ideas for the drivers and passenger side to stop or prevent the leaks.

At the mo it is a soak jammed against the inside of the door, I want something a little better.

Ideas?

check your door hinges aren't shot , this allows the door to drop and a gap to appear

this is currently the cause of the same problem on my TD5 defender

if you take the door card off there is a gap at the bottom front of the door - you can see it more clearly on a bright day - presumably to let the water out

i have seen a water ingress manual somewhere online - i'll see if i can find it

Sounds silly but I had the same was water coming in from the bulkhead somewhere, spent ages working it out and gave up! fitted seal to under bonnet bulkhead lip no problems since.

Oooo idea have two sets of mats when get in at home just take top ones off then dry below and ready to go!

We have a leak in the rear, water collects in the roof/sides joint, first time I brake, Juliet gets a shower when the accumulated water runs forward!

Now I'm a man who enjoys a wet tee-shirt contest normally, but when it's the wife, well, it's just funny as a funny thing .. ;)

Can't see me looking too hard to fix it either ... "It's character, darling".

Bad the same problem. Took off the door seals - a poor fitting door killed it. In the curvy sections there's such a poor fit the seals just don't have a chance to keep the rain out. So it's probably a good idea to take them off so you know where to add additional sealant.

I need to replace the door seals. It seems you can get different quality ones. Where is the best place to buy them? I know 'they all leak sir' but which manufacture/suppliers leak the least ;)

I always have a puddle in the rear load area, no idea where from.

Probably the sunroof, thats where most of the water comes from....

I hear 3mm closed cell foam strips is good, but where would be the most effective place on the doors do you think?

I put a 6mm thick adhesive foam strip all around the doors. When the door is closed it sits just inside of the seal on the door frame.

I've a leak from either the drivers side vent as the flap does not quite close properly or a slight crack to the roof by the gutter. I shall be addressing these next but am preparing for future wading and thought these seals a good precaution.
