With winter approaching it'd be great to be able to get into a warm car.

Any idea how easy it'd be to wire in a switch which starts the FBH up without the engine running?

(If I can get this working, I'll replace it with a remote switch later on).

i thought they had a timer setting on the dash?? ive never had one.....but the eggspurts will be here soonish.........hippo....singvogel etc

Thanks for that Mr Cox - I'm no expert - experience yes - expert no.

I simply bought the Webasto timer to match with the thermo-top fbh.

I can set it to come 30 minutes before I need to set off, and the car is defrosted, demisted and the engine is warm.

I suppose it would be a simple task to put in a switch which would allow the fbh to run constantly or at will.

The real experts are the Rover75 and MGZT folks - one guy even arranged a system where he could phone his car and turn the fbh on.

Have a search loads of info.

Singvogel.
