The dangly bit of earth wire can be changed for the feed, as the unit is earthed through the wire not through the motor body, which is fully insulated on mine, possibly for that reason!

if you turn wheel boxes around 180 degrees so rack runs underneath motion is reversed as with series with wipers working opposite each other one wheel box is reversed

sorry, can't really understand what your saying there? so would reversing the feed work or not?
Yes. As long as your motor is insulated to be on the safe side.

However, James has also made an excellent suggestion ... if you want to strip everything down to do it!

Being bone idle, I just went for the easy option! :D

You could remove the gear cog in the motor housing being sure that it is in the parked position - which means removing the spindle circlips carefully - then place it back in with the arm that's attached to the cog in the opposite position so it matches the photo (on page 2) if that makes sense...

It can be awkward moving the cog without the correct tools for the job though!!

hmm i might give that a go seems simple enough and saves me hacking away at my wires and making a bodge of it :D it's either that or invert my wheel spindles which i really cba now that i just put my dash back together :p

Just experienced the same problem today.

Just fitted a galvanised bulkhead and thought that while I was at it I would replace things like the heater, wiper motor etc for new items.
OE Lucas wiper motor supplied by Bearmach and it ran backwards, a quick check that I hadn't done anything silly like somehow putting the spindles on upsidedown drew a blank and I was left scratching my head. A quick Google search came up with the reedx item and sure enough, the ramp needed to be swopped over which luckily is only 10-minutes work.

How many people are sending motors back because of this and why are UK items being sent out set-up like this in the first place?
