Cruise control lights?

Hi, the cruise control on my 1997 Disco 1 300tdi auto doesn't work. I've checked the hoses and they were cracked, I trimmed them back but it still doesn't work. Before I go any further how many cruise lights should there be? I have one on the master switch that lights up but isn't there usually another somewhere in the dash to show that it is set?

The same answer is given in the other forum where u have posted.

One light only just the master switch. The rubber hose has alway been my problem so check it again from the vac pump to the connections on the brake and clutch switch if u dont have an auto.

A few tight laps of electrical tape on the hose at the joints stops them splitting.
