Freelander 2 - 2011 SD4 - Cruise Control stopped working :(

Hi,

Our FL2's cruise control has just stopped working

No light comes on on the dash when you press the button. I have scanned it and the code comes back as B10AC-95 Permanent - Speed Control Switch.

I can't see any fuses related to cruise control, and have done some searches and it could be the buttons on the steering wheel , but just looking for where to look next before I get a second hand steering wheel switch set and give that a go ?

I don't know about the FL2 but the RAVE technical library had a detailed trouble-shooting guide for my P38 Range Rover.
Have you looked in RAVE?

If the code is for the switch, it suggests its the switch. However quite how it knows a switch isn't switching I'm not sure, as its just a resistive ladder I believe.

Might be wrong, but don't think there is a RAVE for F2. I think BMW stopped paying Rover's subscription to Adobe and Ford didn't reinstate it

Yes that's correct. Rave stopped at the FL1.
There is a FL2 manual available to download from @Hippo sig though.

Thanks for the info guys , I'll take a look over the weekend and report back. I may get a second hand steering wheel assembly to test it out , its just bizarre how it just stopped

I've just checked the repair manual ( thanks for the link Hippo ) and the code comes back as :


I don't know how there could be a mis-match as nothing has changed

The car has been at an LR independant for a new EGR cooler , I asked the wife ( its her car ) is she'd used the cruise control after it came back and she is sure she has - so perplexed now

Try doing a hard reset.
