Clock pixels missing - Any easy way to fix these?

Hi all,

I recently bought my Freelander and the clock / radio display had a number of pixels missing, so much so that it was unreadable. I purchased one from a Rover which works ok although it has a red display and doesn't look as snazzy as the Green display.

My question is... Is there an easy way to fix these or is it a case of throw it away? If it is possible to be fixed I'll repair the original and pop it back in, otherwise I'll just throw it away.

I'd just throw the freelander away tbh.

Thank you very much for this - Exactly what I was looking for. I'll give it a try tonight on the unit I had removed. If it works - great. If not - nothing lost except perhaps 30 minutes of time.

I fixed mine, since a couple of years ago now, this way and it's still working fine, even better than new. success.
