Clattering noise when heater blower turned on

When I turn the fan on the heater it makes a loud clattering noise , also when putting full lock on .. It sounds orrible , I've been informed it may be the AC compressor , but the aircon is not on anyone any ideas ??? please !! Many thanks !

Are you sure its not just something stuck in the pipes rattling around?

My mate has cheese poked down his vents - didn't make much noise - but gave off a right old pong in the hot air!

Not sure what full lock has to do with your fan.

What engine?

Sounds like on of the pulleys on the drive belt could be worn out
