My 2005 3 door has developed a fault on the passenger door lock:- It will lock but not unlock on the central locking.

I've removed the inner door panel and taken a look inside but there's nothing obvious that could be causing this.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

It'll be the door lock solenoid that has failed internal to the door lock assembly.

Best get new or others will be as bad!!

Thanks Andy, I suspected it might be that.
Is it an easy job ? I couldn't see anything in the door that looked like a solenoid.
I'm guessing it's well hidden, like most things Freelandery.

The Rave manual covers this, download from this site.

Basically you have to remove the bit that bolts on the door end and takes the striker on the post. There are torx screws if I remember correctly.
Some disconnection of rods and cables inside. Passenger door simpler than driver's door as no lock barrel.

About 35 quid for a new one. What happens is the solenoids internal to the lock get crudded up and either burn out or stick. I did open one up but replacement of a component in a complex lock assembly with springs and clips is not really worthwhile, even if you could get the parts!!!
