hiya guys n gals, gaylander owner here ;) when i got me freelander the drivers door would only unlock with the key which is no worries, but now er indoors side has stopped working n she aint appy  does the central locking operate from one unit in the drivers door or does each door have its own unit ? plus is it an easy fix ? looking at the haynes manuel looks a chuffing nightmare , helppppppp

CDL is worked by the CCU on the back of the fuse box. You need to get a multi meter on the job and figure out whats not working.

likely to be the lock solenoid assembly, easiest and quickest to replace the entire lock, budget £75 for main dealer and £50 for ebay.

takes about an hour and a half if you've not done it before, bout half an hour if you have.

not hard just fiddly. did mine without the haynes manual.
