So went and picked up caliper bolts from my local parts guy.

You can tell the new from old.. however with the new ones there's about 1mm play with the caliper sliding back and forth.. put the old one back in 0 play.. if you look at the picture (side by side) you can see that the new bolt looks to be about 1mm off with the flange area.

Look at the image of the bolts I posted in your other thread and note the coarse thread bolts (B & D) have a spring washer. Are yours the coarse thread and if so should they have a spring washer too? Note the fine thread bolts have a longer threaded section.

Allmakes.... enough said.... The thread on the right one above is mullered already !
That thread was damaged when using it to replace one that had been fitted with the incorrect bolt (had a fine thread fitted instead of a coarse one). That ended up needing a repair and I always urge caution when people are doing this job.

The bolt is the correct bolt. Regardless of a spring washer if you can see on the none threaded part the end before the thread is tapered which in this case the bolts I have don’t fully go on. The thread pattern is the same and they do fit. When fitting the old bolts they go in fully and stop the caliper from moving. The new bolts refuse to go in and stop due to the thread not allowing it to fully go in.

If you look at the allmakes link also they have the tapered end before the thread (arrow in my first picture) but the bolts that arrived don’t have this

Yeah took it back to the allmakes dealer, they said the same thing, they're sending back to allmakes.. and ordering me a britpart version..

So tldr, bolt manufactured incorrectly
