Broken or just extremely stiff

Was checking my disco over today ready for the weekend as I may be greenlaning, so for the first time in I don’t know how long I went through the high neutral low box, bit stiff but changed ok.

Then I tried to change to diff lock, now its probably not been used for 10 years but I couldn’t shift into it at all. Is it likely to be busted? or just seized a little, any suggestions? or is it usually very stiff?

stick your boot into it itll soon move then

yup what ^^ he says!! stand on the floor outside the drivers side of the car - lean into car - PUSH!!

give the linkage a drowning in WD40 or summat similar before hand tho, and soon as you get it moving and loose get some grease on it!!
