hi guys first of all thank you for your help on my suspension all seems perfect after a new air bag fitted.
can i ask about the brake pedal first the brake lights stay on so you have to put your foot under the pedal and lift it a nats to get them of in doing so this makes the cruise control not work until you lift the pedal.the rear brakes got very hot and started sticking the other day too im worried there is somthing not right here as when you press the pedal down it seems very lazy and on release you can feel a slight delay in brake release:confused: and it feel as the car has too work a bit to get of the mark again.any ideas please as i would like to get these little problems sorted as ive just brought the car.
many thanks guys andy

It sounds as though your rear calipers are seizing on which would cause the brake pedal not to travel back up on release i think, i'm sure somebody else will have a better idea though.

sounds more like a piston sticking in the master cylinder or even the brake pressure limiter to the rear axle sticking. Be most unusal to be both calipers sticking on at the same time, or even the single hydraulic flexi hose to the rear axle is allowing fluid through but its not allowing the fluid to return when pressure is released because it has collapsed internally - - - - -I would try letting the bleed nipple off on a rear caliper first to see if there is a pressure build up in the calipers, if so replace the flexi hose first.

thanks guys im going to try your sugestions as ive just checked the fliud and it is very dark could the privious owner been resting his foot on the brake pedal being an auto!do you think its best to flush and change this first and see what happens then looking at pipes and then the expensive master cylinder.cheers andy

give it a full fluid change first and then see how it is beofre changing anything else. Remember to start at the back when changing the fluid, longest pipe runs first.
