So got in the old girl this morning to go to work and brake pedal went to the floor.

Checked the brake fluid and its empty, checked over the brake system and there is no leaks anywhere.

I've removed the master cylinder to see if its leaking into the booster, it isnt.

I've topped up with brake fluid and tried the brakes, no braking at all. Definitely requires bleeding as it's going to be full of air.

Has anyone seen this issue before with brake fluid vanishing like this.

Will I need to purchase a nanocom evo to bleed the brakes as there is air before the modulator or will manual bleeding give me some braking.

Scratching my head with this one. Cheers in advance.

You definitely need a Nanocom. It just so happens I am selling mine 😁😁
Seriously. The brake fluid can’t just disappear !! It’s gone somewhere. I have renewed pipes on both sides of the modulator and never had to use the Nanocom to bleed yet.
 
As for disappearing fluid! No idea?

But you are going to need to bleed them first (make sure you have a second person with you), whilst bleeding, check all pipes and associated parts to make sure there are no leaks!!

Check where the pipes run over the rear spring turrets. The pipes are almost hidden and that’s where mine rusted through and all the fluid went. Filling the reservoir had no effect, it needed proper bleeding to get fluid through. I used a hand vacuum pump to start with, then the Nanocom.

Booked a day off work tomorrow to go over the brake system, need to see where the missing fluid went.

I'll update if I find anything.
 
Mystery of the vanishing fluid is solved. when looking underneath yesterday i noticed the inside wall of the rear right tyre was darker than the rest, a closer inspection revealed that the bango on the caliper has been weeping fluid over time. Not enough to cause a puddle on the floor.

I then remembered the words of the mot inspector on the last mot, "those rear brake lines are to short", i forgot all about them.

I've hit a bump somewhere and its caused the hose joint to start weeping.

hopefully get another pair of hoses today and bleed the system (without Nanocom hopefully)

Seriously appreciate the assistance from all the members on here, amazing knowledge base.
