When I serviced my motor recently, according to RAVE I needed to check the thickness of the brake pads - which I did. Is there however an electronic warning circuit which will tell me via the message centre when they need changing? ...and if so, is it a message that will subsequently need 'clearing' with electronic gismos that I do not currently possess?

Are there wires coming from the brake pads? If so then it will let you know when they are low. But as a rule of thumb if they look thin change them.
If your discs are grooved change discs and pads.

No

But if you're going to trust Range Rover electronics on whether your brakes are in good condition then you're a far braver man than I am. Keep checking them. Of course visual checking will also give you advance warning of sticking pistons or sliders and damaged discs.
