if you have to ask then you have a concern, if you have a concern then there is a part (or parts) of the job your unsure of, therefore allowed 3x the amount of time you think it'll take.

personally i'd say no it couldnt be done in a weekend. the amount of cutting and welding, wiring, strengthening and finishing that needs to be done is a hell of alot of work

i have no concerns about doing the job, i was just wondering if anyone else thought it would be possible in one weekend, it wouldn't be a bob where the back end goes back on it would be a conversion to being a pick-up its the finishing that i think would take me over the two days and three nights (start friday night finish sunday night)

im always dubious when somebody mentions cutting the roof off a car, specially in a short space of time. you'd have to cut and weld the cab rear in, and you couldnt measure and cut the plate untill you've cut the roof off. also i presume your going to put some kind of strengthening bars in to replace the rigidity of the roof? these will take time to measure cut and mount. will also need to move the rear light clusters, these will need new mountings and some adapting of the origional wiring. all sounds nice and quick but from experience these things take ALOT of time to plan, actually doing them is pretty quick.

if you do it please keep us updated with pics, sounds a good project!!

took me and my mate 4 nights just to do all the cutting, theres a, lot of measure, measure again and then measure again b4 you commit to the grinder.then theres the making of a new rear bumper, then locating the fuel tank and fuel filler cap and fuel sender into the tank of yr choice i would say realisticly it took two of us a week to do it all to the point it was ready for painting

i think i could have the rear end off by midnight on the friday night (starting on me tod at 6) then starting at 8 on the saturday i think i could have the chassis part, the bulkhead and the fuel re-connected by 8pm just leaving the tailgate, the lights and making good to do on the sunday, obviously i won't be able to get it painted in the weekend

not a hope in hell if you want it done properly

Not sure if you can do it that quickly, but that kind of job is something that I would definately be interested in taking part!
