The back door works fine but as soon as I drive off after closing it the door open light on the dash lights up and the rear window, rear wiper and central locking stop working.
If I stop, open and shut the back door, everything works fine until I pull off and the light on the dash comes on again.

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this and how I can fix it
Thanks.

has to be a sensor not making good contact find it and where it contacts the door tape a 1p coin and see if it stop doing what it is doing. If it does stop then adjust switch or replace

I think the switch must be in the lock as I cant see anything anywhere else.
The search link that headbanger put doesn't work?

Right this is an easy fix, mine was doing exactly the same thing. I really wish I'd taken photos now.

Ok the first thing you need to do is to remove the door trim so you can get to all the bolts, thhen unplug the door locking mechanism unbolt it and remove it completely. Now, in the catch mechanism on the opposite side to the actual catch you'll see a small black plastic switch. These were built like **** and the switch has way too much play it it. What you need to do it push that switch body inwards as far as you can and then take a very small screw and screw it into the plastic catch housing somewhere where it's not going to interfere with anything. You may have to prize the casing open to get at it. The head of te screw simply keeps the switch from popping back out. That's it, job done :).

Will.
