Auto problem

I have a Disco 2 v8 auto and yesterday it started to make a rather noticeable clunk when I go from reverse to drive. It's doesn't make any noise when I select reverse but only when I drive forward after selecting drive. Would anyone know what the problem might be???

Have you checked your propshafts for slack or play in the UJs ?

You really need to get somebody to diagnose transmission backlash to tell you whether it is normal or a problem - you can get quite a lot of backlash without there being a problem, but it is worth getting it checked...

Have you checked the box fluid ?
