Hi guys I've just bought a Discovery II that has been stood for 2 years and the steering is stiff.
I've sourced the upper and lower ball joints (lemforder) and thought my local garage could put them in for me but they are not familiar with the job, don't have a tool and couldn't give me a fixed Price for it.

I also called Les Potts but they wanted silly money (in my humble opinion) in fact it took me ten minutes to convince the guy that it didn't need plugging in to the diagnostics (at an extra £8!!) to find out what was wrong!

Are there any members near Sunderland able to change steering knuckle joints or can anyone lend me a press? happy to pay the going rate.

Alternatively can anyone recommend a garage
Cheers Guys

No need for heat on mine. It was a two man job though, one on the breaker bar to screw it down and one to stop the clamp rotating.
