how do,ive just got a freelander 1, im not sure if the vcu has give up,the tyres all seem to be waring ok,the vcu its self doesnt get hot after a run but it seems to sound a little rough when driving over 30/40 mph,ive took it on some muddy stuff and my mate said the front wheels started spinning the the rears caught up,
the car has done 90k with full dealer history and a new engine fitted at land rover at 40k
any help please
cheers jonty

The noise may be coming from the VCU support bearings, usually the front one. If its the original VCU I would certainly look at changing after 90,000 miles.
