Help please before I take it to the stealers, my 01, 1.8 petrol Hippo 54k has decided to take up smoking.

Had the head gasket replaced 1500 miles ago, all seemed ok until it started losing power when it was warm, after a short journey when switched off for a around 30 mins, jump back in and its all juddery.Abs light was staying on longer than usual & also the emmisions light would come on for around 5 mins after starting it then go off.

Changed the idle vavle and throttle sensor, still no change then today it decided to Smoke the street out when reversing off the drive, the smoke is white and plenty off it, checked water and this is half empty no oil in it, so presume this was the smoke, checked oil this is still ok with no gunk in as in head gasket failure.
Any ideas please.

Maybe knew it but was hoping it wasnt HG failure AGAIN (1500 MILES:mad: ), lost water but dont seem to have water in oil and no oil in water. Dare I ask; Is there any other reason it could be burning water?

As the repair was so recent, did they put the new kind of gasket (double layer?) on it ??

There was no over heating upto the smoking and this is what was replaced last time?

Head gasket replacement with new retaining bolts Thermostat replacement
multi-layer gasket
New coolant
Engine oil and filter change

Goes into dock in the morning at independant garage for an opinion then if it is HGF its covered with a 12k mile warranty, they say its ok to drive it down there (about 1.5miles) so long as there's water in?
So if it seems foggy when u look outa your window in morning its more than likely me passing!
